Formed in Forest Hills, Queens in 1974 by Joey, Johnny, Dee Dee, and Tommy Ramone.Taking the stage at CBGB in August 1974 with 17-minute sets of relentless downstroke bar chords and dark bubblegum hooks, the Ramones ignited both the New York and London punk revolutions and toured non-stop for 2,263 shows over 22 years.
