GORILLA BISCUITS

Stop the finger-pointing and Start Today! Trumpet fanfares, melodic gang-vocal breakdowns, anti-racist unity, and flying off the CBGB PA stacks.

Formed in New York City in 1987 by Anthony 'Civ' Civarelli, Walter Schreifels, Arthur Smilios, and Luke Abbey. Their self-titled 1988 7-inch EP and 1989 full-length 'Start Today' (Revelation Records #12) became the best-selling releases in Revelation history, infusing Youth Crew hardcore with soaring melody, horn intros, and infectious energy.

WALTER SCHREIFELS
WALTER SCHREIFELSGorilla Biscuits, Youth of Today, Quicksand & Rival Schools Architect

The ultimate creative bridge between 1980s NYHC Youth Crew and 1990s post-hardcore. After playing bass in Youth of Today and writing Gorilla Biscuits' landmark 'Start Today' LP at age 19, Walter fronted Quicksand ('Slip', 1993) and Rival Schools ('United by Fate', 2001), reshaping heavy melodic rock.
